LUNA MEDICAL IS NATIONALLY CONTRACTED
For over ten years, we at Luna Medical have obtained authorizations for
lymphedema medical products to be paid "in-network" due to a "network
deficiency" for United Healthcare, Cigna Healthcare, and Humana. We are
proud to announce that we have signed national contracts with these
companies for all of the lymphedema medical products we provide.
- National contract with United Healthcare became
active on April 1, 2007.
- National contract with Cigna Healthcare became
active on June 15, 2007.
What does this mean to the lymphedema therapists, referring physicians
and lymphedema patients?
- We can provide daytime, elastic support with
no authorizations.
- We can expedite the authorization process for
nighttime, non-elastic support and the Lympha Press device.
- We can obtain "real time" insurance benefits
online
For insurance companies that we are not contracted with, we will
continue to obtain authorizations for medical products to be paid at
the highest level of benefits each patient is entitled to.
